ACTIVITIES OF CITIZENS AWARENESS GROUP (1997-1998)

07.12.1997	Pulse Polio Programme Sh. Sanjay Kumar, IAS Joint Secretary (Finance) inaugurated the programme at Civil Dispensary, Sector 38, Chandigarh. 11530 polio drops were given.
05.12.1997	Rally of school children and declamation contest on polio. Shivalik Public School, Sectro 41-B, Chandigarh. Dr. Indira Duggal, Distt. Family Welfare Officer, was the Chief Guest,. 40 students participated in the contest.
27.10.1997	Paper reading contest on I.D.D. Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School, Sector 40, Chandigarh. Sh. Arun Sekhri, PCS, DPI Schools was the Chief Guest. About 50 students participated in the contest.
02-10-1997	Mega eye Camp-Primary Health Centre, manimajra, H.E. lt. Gen. B.K.N. Chibber (retd.) , Administrator U.T. & Governor, Punjab, Leprosy Awareness Campaign, Appreciation award for leprosy awareness presented by her Excellency.

24.02.1997	Training workshop on AIDS Women, Model Sr. Sec. School, Manimajra, 50 women participated in the training programme.

30.01.1997	Anti-Leprosy Day-Day – Distribution of awards to winners of Poster Competition on 'Leprosy Awareness in Govt. Girls, Sr. Sec. School, Sector 18, Chandigarh, Her Excellency Smt. Rama Chhibber, was the Chief Guest.
18.01.1997	Pulse Polio Immunization in Sector 39,40,41, Kajeri and Maloya. 6500 childern were given polio drops.
16.01.1997	Poster/Painting competition on leprosy not be feared, Govt. Girls Sr. Sec. School, Sector 8 & 18, Chandigarh, Sh. O.P. Goel and Satinder Dhawan, Municipal Councillors were the Chief Guest.
