Governor talks of Skill Development on CMA’s 48th Foundation Day

Chandigarh Management Association (CMA) organized an Education summit on its 48th Foundation Day today at PHD Chamber, Sector 31, Chandigarh. The theme of the event was “Skill Development in India-Challenges & Opportunities”. His excellency, Sh. Kaptan Singh Solanki, Governor, Haryana & Punjab was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Mrs Kirron Kher, MP, Chandigarh; Sh. Rakesh Verma IAS, Secretary, Technical Education; Mr. K.K Kataria, Director, Technical Education, Haryana were the Guests of Honour on the occasion. Dr. Anshu Kataria, President, CMA and Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges presided over the event.

Dr. Anshu Kataria in his inaugural speech welcomed all the dignitaries on the occasion. He said that since CMA is 48 years old association but still it does not have its own office. He demanded a piece of land or space in any of the Government office in Chandigarh for its operation.

His Excellency, Sh. Kaptan Singh Solanki in his key note address congratulated CMA on its 48th Foundation day. He congratulated Dr. Anshu Kataria, President, CMA to complete his tenure as one of the youngest, Dynamic and Enthusiastic President of the oldest association twice.

Speaking on the topic he highlighted the need of Modi’s 3D formula i.e democracy, demography, demand and 3S i.e Skill, Scale and Speed. He added that more than 700 million Indians are estimated to be of working age by 2022. Out of these, more than 500 million require some kind of vocational or skill development training.

Mrs. Kirron Kher while speaking on the occasion stressed upon developing an appropriate training system instead of teaching syllabus only in all academic institutions and universities for a better growth and sustainable skill development in all spheres of the nation. Also she accentuated that “Skill India & Happy India” will be a better way to give a pleasant smile on the face of our nation.

Sh. Rakesh Verma IAS, Secretary, Technical Education & Industrial Training said that the Punjab state government has aimed to skill 300,000 youth mentioned 2014-15 budget with over Rs. 500 crore. India is expected to grow at a rate of 8%, on an average, in the next 10 years. He strained upon the need of harness the human capital with the requisite set of skills in both fields information related to job and ethics.

Dr. Anshu Kataria, President, CMA and Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges highlighting the issue said that Hon’ble Prime Minister Modi had in his maiden Independence Day speech invited companies across the world to make their products in India and create jobs in the labour-intensive manufacturing sectors.

Kataria further added that the ministry aims to open 1,500-2,000 centres in the next two years and the entire cost of the programme is likely to be Rs.1,500 crore to Rs.2,000 crore a year, well within the budget allocation of the rural livelihood mission, which was Rs.4,000 crore.

At the end of the occasion, knowledge partners S. Gurfateh Singh, Adesh Group of Institutions; S. Gurpreet Singh, Universal Group; Mr. Anoop Bansal, Gulzar Group of Institutions; Service Partner, Mr. Neeraj Sood, Director, Loyal Hut were honoured by the Governor on the occasion.

Deep were present. Apart from others Mr. J.S. Nayyar, Vice President; Mr. R.K. Nayyar; Dr. Ashwani Vig; Col. M.G.S Khurana; Anil Kumar Arora etc. were also present on the occasion.

European Power Companies evince interest in Himachal Pradesh

13 April, Hannover

The Indian Prime Minister, Mr Modi and the German Chancellor, Ms Angela Merkel visited the Himachal Pradesh Pavilion. They were received by an official delegation led by Mr RD Dhiman, Principal Secy. (Ind.) along with Mr Rajender Singh DI and Mr Tilak Raj Sharma, DDI. The guests were welcomed with traditional kullu shawl, jacket and cap. The Himachal contingent has 14-15 industrialists from the state to explore business opportunities and joint ventures.

A Czech Republic enterprise, CINK Hydro – Energy k.s., which is a leader in the area of technology for small and medium-sized hydropower plants evinced interest in hydro power projects in the state. Also, another group, Provotek, from Germany, has business interests in Wind Energy products is keen on setting up a manufacturing plant in the state.

 

Governor launches “Aryans Safety Helmet”

Chandigarh 17 April

5 engineering students of Chandigarh based Aryans College of Engineering have developed a unique GPS and GSM based Safety Helmet. This innovative project of the Aryans Kashmiri students aims to provide timely first aid facility in case disaster happens at construction/ mining/ industrial sites.

Christened as “Aryans Safety Helmet,” the project was today launched by Governor Punjab & Haryana, Sh.Kaptan Singh Solanki in Raj Bhavan, Haryana. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the event.

Sh. Solanki while launching the helmet said that we lose thousands of lives at construction sites due to their untraceable location. This helmet will really help us to locate them at a much faster speed. Sh. Solanki appreciated the initiative taken by Aryans students and added that this Helmet is an innovation and also a wonderful project.

  1. Gurdeep Singh, HoD, Civil Department, Aryans Group said that this unique helmet consists of three main Parts i.e. GPS system, GSM module and Antenna. Firstly GPS system will receive signals from satellite through an antenna attached to it. The information retrieved from these signals is fed to GSM module. GSM module has a sim card slot which will transfer this information to the system. He added that use of particular web link enables us to locate the position of that system on a google map.

Imtiyaz Ahmad Shah, students’ group leader said that “According to recent survey we lose approximately 1000 lives per year while working at their jobs and one out of every five of them is at construction sites. Most of these deaths occur due to non-availability of first aid in time. So this helmet will help us to find the persons under debris and to provide help as early as possible.

Hanan Bashir another student who hails from Srinagar said that this helmet will help us to locate persons under debris or scrap in case of an accident. GPS will work with satellite and transfer information to GSM. We can locate position on google map by using a link.

Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group said that with the fast change in technology, students are coming up with fresh and innovative ideas. Earlier to this also Aryans students have done many wonderful innovations like “Aryans Android App”, “Save Kashmir Android App”, “Life saving Glove” to name a few.

Giving more information Sajid Zahoor, Javaid Ahmad and Suhail Ahmad said that they are working on further improvement of the device by installing a sensor based emergency button. The button will turn to an alarm in case the person requires first aid by sensing the pressure or other emergency need.

On the occasion apart from others Mr. Himanshu, Ms. Punika Mahajan, Ms. Shashi Katnawer and Ms. Ashima Dhiman were also present.

गुडग़ांव, 26 फरवरी। हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल द्वारा चंडीगढ़ में प्रदेश के सभी नगर निगमों के मेयर, सीनियर डिप्टी मेयर तथा डिप्टी मेयरों के साथ बैठक की, जिसमें गुडग़ांव के सीनियर डिप्टी मेयर यशपाल बत्रा तथा डिप्टी मेयर परमिन्द्र कटारिया ने गुडग़ांव के विकास का एजेंडा रखा।

श्री बत्रा ने बैठक में बताया कि हरियाणा सरकार द्वारा वर्ष 2010-11 में वर्ष 2008-09 व 2009-10 का प्रोपर्टी टैक्स माफ कर दिया था, जिसके कारण शहर वासियों द्वारा माफ प्रोपर्टी टैक्स को छोडक़र अन्य वर्षों का प्रोपर्टी टैक्स निगम में जमा करवा दिया था। अब नगर निगम द्वारा वितरित किए जा रहे प्रोपर्टी टैक्स के बिलों में वर्ष 2008-09 व 2009-10 के प्रोपर्टी टैक्स के साथ ब्याज भी लगाया हुआ है, जो काफी अधिक है। इस कारण लोग ब्याज भरने में असमर्थ हैं और प्रोपर्टी टैक्स पर लगाए गए ब्याज को माफ किया जाए। उन्होंने गुडग़ांव में टै्रफिक व्यवस्था में सुधार के लिए सोहना चौक, अतुल कटारिया चौक, हुडा सिटी सैंटर चौक आदि स्थानों पर फ्लाई ओवरों के निर्माण करवाने की बात भी बैठक में रखी। साथ ही श्री बत्रा ने कहा कि जमीनों के रेट अधिक बढ़ जाने के कारण आम आदमी को गुडग़ांव में मकान मिलना मुश्किल हो गया है तथा सरकार द्वारा 150 प्रतिशत एफएआर लागू किया गया है, जिसके कारण केवल ढ़ाई मंजिल तक ही भवन का निर्माण किया जा सकता है। उन्होंने एफएआर को 300 प्रतिशत बढ़ाने का आग्रह किया, ताकि भवन का निर्माण चार मंजिल तक किया जा सके।
उन्होंने बताया कि गुडग़ांव में काफी मात्रा में कमर्शियल भवन बने हुए हैं और नगर निगम द्वारा कमर्शियल भवनों के नक्शे स्वीकृत नहीं किए जाते क्योंकि सरकार द्वारा मुख्य सडक़ों को कमर्शियल घोषित नहीं किया गया है और निगम को राजस्व की हानि हो रही है, जिसका असर विकास कार्यों पर पड़ता है। उन्होंने गुडग़ांव की सभी मुख्य सडक़ों को कमर्शिलय घोषित करने की बात बैठक में रखी और कहा कि इससे निगम को लगभग 200 करोड़ रूपए के राजस्व की प्राप्ति होगी। श्री बत्रा ने निगम क्षेत्र में सब डिविजन प्लाटों के नक्शे स्वीकृत करने, पार्किंग समस्या दूर करने, 100 वर्ग गज तक के प्लाटों का प्रोपर्टी टैक्स माफ करने तथा विधवा व विकलांग आदि का प्रोपर्टी टैक्स माफ करने सहित अन्य मुद्दे बैठक में रखे।
बैठक में डिप्टी मेयर परमिन्द्र कटारिया ने स्वच्छता पर अपनी बात रखी तथा कहा कि अगर स्वच्छता पर विशेष रूप से ध्यान दिया जाएगा तो हमारा शहर तथा यहां के नागरिक भी स्वच्छ व स्वस्थ रहेंगे और गुडग़ांव विकास की राह पर आगे बढ़ेगा। बैठक में हरियाणा के विभिन्न नगर निगमों के मेयर, सीनियर डिप्टी मेयर तथा डिप्टी मेयरों सहित हरियाणा सरकार के अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारीगण उपस्थित थे।

KHATTAR INAUGURATES ONLINE MEMBERSHIP CAMPAIGN OF BJP CHANDIGARH

DSC_0529  Chandigarh 15 Nov, 2014: Chief Minister of Haryana, Sh. Manohar Lal Khattar, inaugurated online membership campaign of BJP Chandigarh today. On this occasion, Ms Aarti Mehra Prabhari of Chandigarh and Sanjay Tandon State Present BJP were also present. State General Secretary of BJP Chandigarh Chandra Shekhar conducted stage on this occasion.

DSC_0598According to Spokesperson of BJP Kailash Jain, during the inauguration of campaign, CM Manohar Lal Khattar reiterated that earlier the party used to campaign peacefully and according to constitution of the Party and now BJP has taken lead by campaigning online, resultantly the public in general will get benefit. Any person can become member of BJP by giving a miss call on a specific number directly. He further stated that he was a worker who used to work in Streets, Mohalla and Mandal levels and now the party has honoured him as Chief Minister, which is only possible in BJP.

DSC_0505Mr Khattar further stated that when he thinks about his journey from a worker to Chief Minister, mostly the thought what he has lost and what gained, resultantly comes to conclusion that he had lost his independence. When he was Organization Secretary of Chandigarh he used to come any time without any restrictions whereas now he is bound by some restrictions. He made an appeal to public to give wide publicity and more importance to the membership campaign for which the workers of BJP will have to go to booth level to seek help of general public. He further added that the workers should take responsibility to executive the assignment given by the party, at the both levels also to strengthen the party.

In BJP Office, Mr Sanjay Tandon, State President, welcomed Mr Manohar Lal Khattar and received him with great enthusiasm. He said that he is happy to know that Mr Khattar, who used to work as DSC_0575Organization Secretary of Chandigarh, is personally aware of the names of all workers of Chandigarh unit. All workers shared their views personally with Mr Khattar. Mr Tandon further elaborated about the online campaign and said that BJP targeted to make one lac members in Chandigarh only, which the party will achieve. He further added that Mr. Khattar, Ms Aarti Mehra and he himself have also given miss calls and obtained their membership.

He further said that earlier people used to join Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, for his name and now the public is joining with him for his work. Mr Tandon stated that today important personalities like General Hoon (Regd) and Saurab Khurana General Secretary Punjab and Haryana Bar Association have also obtained their online membership.

At the end of the program, Membership Campagin Convenor Shakti Prakash Devshali thanked Chief Guest Manohar Lal Khattar, Prabhari Ms Aarti Mehra and State President Sanjay Tandon in addition to all officer bearers and workers.
